Like Copenhagen (Kobenhaven in Danish) the Anglicized name
"Gothenburg" (Goteborg in Swedish) tell a story
of internationalism and trade. The city was founded in 1621
according to Dutch designs, with canals and fortifications
including a wide moat, city walls and three fortresses.

serves as a landmark for ships entering Gothenburg harbor.
