Chad Case

BIO: Chad Case is an award winning professional photographer, published travel writer and videographer that has been published in National Geographic Adventure, National Geographic Traveler, Holland America, Mountain Travel Sobek, National Wildlife, The New York Times, Outside, Sunset, Backpacker and numerous other publications. He lives in Boise, Idaho and shoots editorial, travel, corporate, advertising, stock, and photography.

Sharing his love for photography, Chad Case offers energetic and informative instruction on a variety of digital photography workshops on Adobe Lightroom, High Dynamic Range (HDR) photography, 101 photography for beginners and photography techniques to capture the best pictures and how to organize, enhance and share the images on the computer.

Chad became interested in photography upon returning from boot camp for the Air National Guard and worked at a commercial photography studio in Boise while attending college. After five years in the studio, Chad moved to Alaska where he worked seasonal jobs as a commercial fisherman and firefighter which allowed him the time off to travel and build his stock photo library of outdoor landscapes and adventure travel.

In addition to his own photography Chad operates Idaho Stock Images (ISI), Idaho’s premier stock photo agency. Representing over 60 photographers with more than 20,000 images online at www.idahostockimages.com, ISI provides stock imagery to advertising, corporate and editorial clients worldwide. Chad also teaches workshops on photography and the digital darkroom and workflow.

He is a member of the Society of American Travel Writers (SATW), Nikon Professional (NPS), Travel Journalist Guild (TJG), North American Nature Photographer Association (NANPA) and National Association of Photoshop Professionals (NAPP).

My Private Galapagos

I launched my kayak off the warm sandy beach with a gentle push into the emerald green Pacific waters of the exotic Galapagos Islands. As I paddled out, the calm waves slapped against my boat and I was greeted by a curious sea lion.
